The use of this Website of the Jewish Community of Thessaloniki, including web crawling, caching services, and any other services provided by the Website, requires unconditional acceptance of the terms of use described herein and constitutes implied acceptance thereof.

Definitions

Administrator means the Jewish Community of Thessaloniki.

If a copyright holder identifies illegally published material on the Administrator's Portal that a) is not covered by any limitation or exception under Greek intellectual property law and b) for the use of which the relevant license has not been granted, the said copyright holder is requested to contact the Administrator in writing by email at josephdigitaljc@gmail.com stating the following:

  • Their contact details.
  • Full bibliographic data or, if unavailable, reference data of the material.
  • The URL where the material was found (e.g. the record URL).
  • Evidence confirming they are the rights holder and/or a responsible statement declaring under their sole responsibility and knowing the penalties under Art. 22(6) of Law 1599/1986 that they are the intellectual property rights holder or their lawful representative.

Upon receipt of the complaint, the notice and take-down procedure for illegally published content begins as follows:

  • The Administrator confirms receipt of the complaint by email or post and makes an initial assessment of its validity and reliability.
  • Upon receipt of a valid complaint, the material is temporarily withdrawn from the Administrator's Portal until an amicable solution is found.
  • The complainant and the Administrator or any other natural/legal person who deposited the material must resolve the complaint by mutual agreement within a short period, adopting one of the following solutions: a) republication in the same form, b) republication with changes, c) permanent removal.
  • For as long as the Administrator and complainant cannot reach a mutually acceptable solution, the material remains unavailable through the catalogue until agreement is reached.

Disclaimer

The Administrator provides the content (e.g. information, names, photographs, depictions, data, etc.) and services made available through the Website 'AS IS'. In no case shall the Administrator be liable for any legal, civil, or criminal claims or any damage (positive, special, or consequential) to the user of this Website.

Third-Party Links

The Portal may contain links to third-party websites for the sole purpose of informing the user. Linking to third-party websites does not constitute adoption of their views and actions or acceptance of the content they express, publish, or post.
